Borough of Buena Civil Rights Policy Statement

The Borough of Buena is committed to providing a workplace and public environment free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. This policy applies to all Borough officials, employees, appointees, volunteers, independent contractors, and members of the public who interact with the Borough.

Discrimination, harassment, or violations of civil rights are prohibited and are defined in accordance with applicable federal and New Jersey laws. The Borough provides procedures for reporting concerns, including alternative reporting options, and strictly prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.

The Mayor is responsible for establishing reporting procedures, requiring periodic training, monitoring compliance, and reporting annually to the governing body.

Statement of Commitment

The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Buena express their unequivocal commitment to enforcing this civil rights policy and to taking appropriate action to address any violations.

This policy is in effect immediately and is enforced consistent with all applicable laws and regulations.

The Regular Meetings of the Council of the Borough of Buena shall be held on the following dates at 6:00 P.M. for Workshop Meetings and 6:30 P.M. for Regular Meetings, at the  Borough of Buena Municipal Building at 616 Central Avenue, Minotola, New Jersey 08341 with the exception for the Reorganization Meeting will be held at 6:00 P.M. at the Borough of Buena Municipal Building 616 Central Avenue, Minotola, NJ 08341
